A look at alternative chord shapes / voicings and playing techniques to boost your ukulele game.
This workshop will take some well-loved ukulele songs and give them a mega-upgrade. Ronan will show you new ways of handling the ukulele part allowing you to gain the skills needed to add additional textures to group performances as well as enhancing your solo playing. This is a workshop for all levels - from beginners who have mastered C, G, Am, F to those of you already looking at lead parts.

Roll out your yoga mat/blanket and join Robin to experience the benefits of Yoga for yourself - improve mobility, flexibility & strength; reduce feelings of stress & anxiety; perfect your posture; learn to work with your body and create a mental state of calm & contentment. After a short warm up you'll be guided through a series of easy to follow postures with clear instructions and options for all levels. You'll stretch & strengthen your whole body (including some muscles you might have forgotten about!) and after a short relaxation to finish you'll be feeling good all over.

Feel the powerful calming effects of mindfulness in this beginner-friendly session that includes some breathe awareness techniques and a body scan mediation that will leave you feeling calm & relaxed in your body & mind and ready for a great day ahead.

Join Elaine live from UCL Headquarters and explore the 12 bar blues the ukulele way, with practical picking and strumming techniques suitable for beginners and improvers. This is a great way to utilise your improvisation skills and jam for hours on end.
This workshop will help you get creative with the basic chords of C, F & G7 whilst navigating the fretboard to find alternative ways of playing them with a variety of strumming styles and finger picking patterns. You will also explore the blues scale with slides, tricks and turnaround techniques and learn how to shuffle like you’ve never shuffled before.
